The Bubba's Cycling Tours alpine training camp in Bright is a unique opportunity to combine a cycling tour to Australia’s most beautiful cycling landscape, with fully coached and directed training sessions. Covering all aspects of cycling technique, we include field testing which allows the coaches to determine riding focus and intensity for the duration of the camp.
Our alpine training camps offer a genuine opportunity to replicate the feeling of climbing the world’s greatest peaks, and even a chance to orientate yourself on the Falls Creek Peaks Challenge course without having to do it all in one day! Ride the loop over two days and stay at the magical Blue-Duck Inn at Anglers Rest.

Training Camp Highlights & Features
What to Expect: A fantastic cycling experience in Australia’s highest terrain. You will learn a lot about riding in the mountains, both going up and down. You will be challenged and pushed at times, but on balance this will be five days you will remember fondly forever. Expect some lovely weather (only a slight chance of cold / wet days), a great time with like-minded people and excellent healthy food choices. You will receive great coaching and advice and come home from the training camp a smarter and more complete bike rider.
None of the cafes in town open early enough to eat breakfast prior to leaving for each days ride, so we will be heading into town on Thursday afternoon to allow guests to purchase breakfast supplies and snacks. This allows guests to prepare breakfast and ride nutrition in the cabins before we leave for our daily rides.
Base Camp - Pioneer Garden Cottages
Gordon and Jo own and run the wonderful Pioneer Garden Cottages. Gordon himself is a mad cyclist, owns 17 bikes (at last count) and is a local cycling identity, there is no better person in Bright to act as our host.
Gordon will also join us on most riding days, either on one of his bikes or behind the wheel. Each cottage at “Pioneer” has been tastefully restored and decorated and the surrounding gardens are an absolute delight, the perfect, peaceful setting when recovering from the days exertions.
Pioneer is a short walk from town, has full kitchen facilities in each cabin, a laundry and the BEST BBQ area in town.
