Training with Power
The first morning of the camp will see the athletes participate in a physiological profile assessment. The results will form the basis for the training rides over the next 4 days. Once your power zones have been established, learning how to use them properly will be next on the agenda.
Delivering a seminar on training with power with Brian 'Bubba' Cooke, a physiologist with many years experience in the industry and a life long cyclist. Here you will learn how to train with power to help you get more out of your training .
Day two will see us heading for the hills for a climbing skills session in the hinterland. Here we will put the numbers from your physiology assessment into play and learn how to use your numbers when climbing.
Upon completion of training we can then continue on a stunning ride through the hinterland with spectacular scenery and challenging roads.
Interval Training Session
Training with Power is the most useful tool available on the market today. Getting the most out of this tool is something that can't be mastered by a google search alone. In this session we will have your specific power numbers to work through. Bike computers will be set up to display appropriate information and the ride will be conducted on a quiet suburban loop. Session structure and the uploading of data will be explained at the lab giving you a much better understanding of the process and the realisation as to why it is so important for your training.
Strength & Conditioning
Strength and conditioning for cycling is a very specific skill set that can have a huge effect on improving your cycling performance. This practical session takes place in a gym specifically built for strength and conditioning, and you will leave with the knowledge and confidence to add this vital ingredient to your weekly training.
Brian Cooke has many years experience teaching strength and conditioning specific to cyclists and will guide you through the technique and type of essential exercises to improve your cycling.

Delina will guide you through the essential nutrition guidelines specific to athletes needs. From daily training requirements to tapering and timing of meals you will learn how to fuel your body for the best possible outcome for performance and recovery.
